Nothing beats watching a great movie with the family or playing video games at home. But have you ever found that the audio sounded great but the visual experience was lacking?

The problem is, even if you’ve got an incredible television or projector paired with a phenomenal soundbar or surround sound system, the way you experience colors can be limited because they don’t fill your entire field of vision as they would in real life, or surround you the way sound does.

Now, it’s time for an upgrade! Introducing: CopGain – It transforms your theater room, adding stunning colors with real-time lighting that syncs to the on-screen action. This high-tech ambient lighting kit mounts behind your screen to fill the room with colorful, mood-enhancing lighting effects that perfectly complement the screen, making your multimedia experience incredibly immersive.

We have seen Razor Chroma giving gamers ambient lighting a more immersive lighting experience. CopGain wants to do the same for for your home theatre and video gaming setup.

However, based on the demo videos on their campaign page, I think what that deliver is far from the promise. It would be hard for them to keep up with changing lights in the video, and you can see the colours not really matching the videos in the demo.

It is a good concept but we are still some way off from a truly immersive experience that they paint with their flowery marketing spin.

Background check

The creator refers to itself as CopGain Technology. Although the campaign claims to be from Chino, CA, we doubt the team is based in the United States. Zhang Jiali applied for the trademark for CopGain from Tai’an, China. The video for the campaign is shot in China as well.

It is interesting to note that the brand is not owned by a company, but by an individual.

Hi, I’m Takeshi.

I’m a cyborg bear. You might think I go for techy stuff, but I do have an artistic side and appreciate good design.
