KeyX would have been a great product before smartphones, but with increased smart connectivity in new cars and smart homes, this would cater more to people with older cars and homes that have yet to get the smart home upgrade.

I thought it was an innovative way it operates your car. But it actually just places your car key in what it calls the Car Box. When you press a button on KeyX to operate your car, the Car Box mechanically depresses your car key to operate the car. What a joke!

Other than that, KeyX just functions like other universal remote to control your garage doors, TV, air conditioner and other home devices that use standard frequencies. The NFC function is what most modern phones can do, so you probably won’t use it.

And KeyX is pretty big for something that you would want to be pocketable too. Poor product design there.
