We made sure that HEAVYS are lossless, so you hear the most accurate representation of the recording process. But we also made sure they’re more than that.
Most headphones have one driver per side. HEAVYS has FOUR.
Having four drivers allows each of them to focus on a different frequency. No need for one driver to try and accommodate lows, mids, and highs together. Each speaker releases sound in the frequency range that suits its purpose.
In short, this reduces distortion and lets you hear every detail, the lows, mids and highs, clearly and accurately. This isn’t possible with headphones with one speaker only,
and that’s especially crucial for the unique and complex sounds of heavy metal.
There aren’t many headphones in the market that caters to the heavy metal audience. It is good to see a product from people who love the genre to come up with a solution to their needs, that also happen to be the needs of fellow heavy metal heads.
The product is priced at a very reasonable bracket. I rock AKG K240 Studio semi-open cans and they cost the same as the HEAVYS. If the product delivers what it promises, then it would be worth the bang for the buck.
With over 3,500 backers so far, it is evident that HEAVYS resonates with the intended target market and I look forward to its growth once it ships and awareness of this product reaches a wider market outside of Kickstarter.
Hi, I’m Takeshi.
I’m a cyborg bear. You might think I go for techy stuff, but I do have an artistic side and appreciate good design.
