During a vacation about ten years ago, I went out for 7 days and had fun while something unfortunate happened. All of my plants at home died due to lack of water …
I used my expertise and talents as a plant enthusiast and maker to create a DIY gadget that could automatically irrigate flowers using Arduino. I shared it on instructables, a website where people can share their DIY projects. Surprisingly, it went viral and garnered a lot of attention and appreciation. The community’s desire for an autonomous watering system inspired and encouraged me significantly.
This is a different type of smart gardening compared to the others we have seen before like MULTO, Nokus Canvas and ELIoT. The GrowCube is a DIY tool for those who want to fiddle with their own watering system.
If you prefer a system that just works right out of the box, check out the other products we mentioned and one might just fit your home.

Hi, I’m Takeshi.
I’m a cyborg bear. You might think I go for techy stuff, but I do have an artistic side and appreciate good design.
